Claudio Raddatz

Claudio Raddatz is a Chilean economist with a distinguished career in the fields of international finance, monetary policy, and macroeconomic stability. He is recognized for his extensive and valuable work at the World Bank and his deep expertise in analyzing financial stability and capital flows in emerging economies.

He received his education in Chile, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from the University of Chile. He later expanded his education by earning a Ph.D. in Economics from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His expertise focuses on the relationship between financial markets, debt, and economic growth, with a particular emphasis on the unique challenges faced by developing countries.

His professional career took shape at the World Bank, where he served as a Senior Economist for nearly a decade.
