Biography / Speaker Info

Clarence Seedorf began his dazzling professional career in Ajax Amsterdam's renowned youth system, making his first-team debut at the age of just 16. He was part of Ajax's celebrated golden generation that, under the guidance of Louis Van Gaal, wowed Europe and won the UEFA Champions League in 1995, with Seedorf a youthful but already pivotal player in midfield. This early success, coupled with several domestic titles, cemented his status as a promising player on his way to soccer's global elite.

After a brief but notable spell at Sampdoria in Italy, the Dutch midfielder signed for Real Madrid in 1996. At the white club, Seedorf showed a great personality, a privileged physique and a refined technique, standing out for his imposing deployment in midfield and his powerful long-distance shot. During his three seasons in Madrid, he played a key role in winning a Spanish League, a Spanish Super Cup, an Intercontinental Cup and his second Champions League in 1998 (La Séptima), demonstrating his ability to adapt to highly demanding leagues.

His most memorable and longest spell was with AC Milan, where he remained for a decade and became a true icon of the Rossoneri club, earning the nickname "Il Professore". With Milan, Seedorf reached the pinnacle of world soccer by winning the UEFA Champions League twice more, in 2003 and 2007, completing the feat of being the only player in history to lift Europe's most prestigious trophy with three different clubs. In Italy, he also won two Serie A titles, two European Super Cups and a Club World Cup, adding to an already enviable list of honors.

Finally, Seedorf closed his brilliant playing career with Botafogo of Brazil in 2014. At the international level, he represented the Netherlands national team in 79 matches, participating in one World Cup (France 1998) and three European Championships. After hanging up his boots, he ventured into a coaching career, managing AC Milan, China's Shenzhen FC, Deportivo La Coruña in Spain and the Cameroon national team.
