Biography / Speaker Info
Simon Sinek is an influential British-American author, speaker and consultant who has transformed the way leadership is understood in the 21st century. He was born on October 9, 1973 in Wimbledon, England, and due to his father's work in the U.S. Information Agency, spent his childhood in a number of countries, including South Africa and Hong Kong. He graduated in Cultural Anthropology from Brandeis University and started an MBA at City University Business School in London, although he did not complete it.
Sinek became known around the world for his book "Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action", published in 2009. In this book, he introduces the concept of the "Golden Circle", a model that proposes that the most successful and enduring leaders and organizations are those that start with the "why" (their purpose), before defining the "how" (the process) and the "what" (the product or service). This concept has become a fundamental tool in leadership and has been adopted by many companies and global leaders.
Sinek has expanded his influence through other books such as "Leaders Eat Last," where he explores the importance of safety and trust in teams, and "The Infinite Game," which argues that leaders must adopt a long-term mindset to achieve sustainable success.
In addition, Sinek founded Sinek Partners, a consulting firm that provides leadership and organizational development services, helping companies around the world apply his inspirational leadership principles. His focus on empathy, trust and purpose has changed the way organizations think about leadership, leaving a lasting imprint on the business world and beyond.
