Designated by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as the best referee of all time, Pierluigi Collina is known as the referee with the most personality and charisma of all those who have ever stepped on a soccer pitch.
Pierluigi Collina is a former soccer referee, author and consultant. He is recognized and a reference in international soccer refereeing.
He is an advisor to the Italian Football Referees Association, as well as a member of the UEFA Referees Committee. Among other competitions, he refereed the final of the Atlanta Olympic Games (1996), the Champions Cup Final (1999), several matches of the World Cup in France (1998), matches of the European Championships (2000) and the World Cup Final between Germany and Brazil (2002). He is also the author of the book "My Rules of the Game. What soccer has taught me in life".
He has won numerous awards and has been considered the Best Referee of all time by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
