Luis Figo is a former professional soccer player and businessman. He is recognized as one of Portugal's best players.
He was part of the best teams, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. He was also part of the "golden generation", which gave Portugal the under-16 European Championship and the under-20 World Cup. He retired in 2016 and since then he has been an entrepreneur, among other activities he owns the company Damash Minerals that exploits gold mines in Senegal and the Republic of Guinea.
Among the recognitions throughout his career, he was named best player in his country, won the Golden Ball and the FIFA World Player. He was also included in the FIFA 100.
