BiografÃa / Speaker Info
Jessica Long is one of America's most decorated Paralympic champions, speaker, author, advocate and sports personality.
Jessica's life has been nothing short of amazing. Born to a teenage mother in the cold of Siberia, burdened by congenital leg defects and given up for adoption at 13 months, Jessica was able to persevere to become one of the most decorated female athletes in U.S. history. However, it was not without setbacks. At just 18 months old, Jessica had her legs amputated below the knee due to a rare bone disorder called hemimelia fibula, but her adoptive family did not allow her physical differences to limit her potential. With unwavering determination and self-belief, Jessica has been able to reach the top of her sport and maintain her position among the world's best for more than a decade. Now, as one of America's most decorated champions, her work is focused on winning in the water and inspiring others outside of the pool. It is through her struggles that she has learned to grow and thrive as an advocate and person, and her message of hope resonates in all walks of life.
In fact, Jessica's story inspired the best-received 2021 Super Bowl commercial, which highlights her story and the deep connections she has with her partners. Watch it below!
