Jacqueline Novogratz is an executive, entrepreneur, consultant, speaker and author. She holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA in International Relations/Economics from the University of Virginia. She has worked throughout Asia and Africa seeking new ways to use business as a way to create a world without poverty.
She is the founder and CEO of Acumen Fund, a global non-profit venture capital fund that uses an entrepreneurial approach to solve the problems of global poverty. In addition, she has extensive career experience in international banking and founded and led leadership programs such as The Philanthropy Workshop and The Next Generation at the Rockefeller Foundation. He also founded Duterimbere, a microfinance institution in Rwanda, and serves on the advisory boards of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, MIT's Legatum Center, and the Innovations Journal, published by MIT Press. She also serves on the Aspen Institute Board of Trustees, on the board of IDEO.org, is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council for Social Innovation, and is a frequent speaker at the Clinton Global Initiative and TED.
She is the author of several books including the bestseller "The Blue Sweater" and among the multiple recognitions of her career she has been elected one of the 100 most influential thinkers in the world, according to the magazine "Foreign Policy", among others.
