Sebastián Campanario

Sebastián Campanario is a renowned Argentine journalist, economist, and public educator whose expertise focuses on innovation, creativity, unconventional economics, and the impact of scientific and technological advances on daily life and business. He has a dual background, holding a bachelor’s degree in economics (UBA) and a bachelor’s degree in journalism (TEA), with graduate studies at institutions such as Columbia University and Florida International University (FIU). This dual background allows him to address complex topics from a rigorous, economic, and highly accessible perspective.

He has had an extensive and highly influential career in the media. He worked for more than a decade at the newspaper Clarín, where he became known for his column “Economía insólita.” He is currently a regular columnist for the newspaper La Nación, where he writes the column “Álter eco” and contributes articles to the Ideas supplement, analyzing exponential trends, artificial intelligence, and the future of well-being and longevity. He is a co-founder of the Center for Studies on Disruption at the University of Di Tella and serves as a consultant on future-related issues for international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

As a writer, he is the author of several bestsellers that tackle complexity with a playful and practical approach. Among his most notable titles are *The Economy of the Unusual*, *Ideas in the Shower*, *The Senior Revolution: The Rise of the +45 Generation*, and *Proxi +50: 50 Ideas for Your Next 50 Years*. In addition to his work as a journalist and author, Sebastián Campanario teaches at various universities, including his role as a professor of Global Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona.
