Diego Luna is an actor, producer and director of television, theater and film. He studied at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México.
His career as an actor is very varied, from soap operas, theater and cinema where, it was with the film "Y tu mamá también" by Alfonso Cuarón that he began to be one of the most popular actors in Mexico, a trend that continued with the release of "Atlético San Pancho" and "Frida". In Hollywood he acted in Steven Spielberg's "The Terminal", Gus Van Sant's "Milk" and in the Star Wars franchise in the spin-off "Rogue One" (2016), among others. He has also had participation in music videos, most notably acting with Katy Perry in the music video for the single "The One That Got Away". He was also a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival and directed a documentary on César Chávez.
In addition, together with Gael GarcÃa Bernal, they are founders of Ambulante AC, an organization in charge of the festival with the same name whose mission is to mobilize spaces of encounter and collective action to build other worlds through documentaries.
