Avi Goldfarb is a professor, researcher, writer and consultant on artificial intelligence, healthcare and marketing. He studied economics at Queen's University in Canada and holds an MA and PhD in economics from Northwestern University in Illinois.
He is a senior editor at Marketing Science, chief data scientist at the Creative Destruction Lab, a BEAR Fellow and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in the United States. His research has been funded by Google and other public and corporate entities. His work has appeared in major media outlets including "The Economist", "Forbes", "Fortune", "The New York Times", "Financial Times" and "Wall Street Journal", among others.
He is also Professor of Marketing and of Artificial Intelligence and Health at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. In his books and publications he delves into, among other issues, how artificial intelligence will affect business, public policy and society.
