Alex Tapscott is an executive, author, speaker and consultant. He studied a B.A. in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. He is an expert in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin.
He is co-founder of the Blockchain Research Institute, a think tank that researches blockchain strategies, opportunities and use cases. He also advises clients across all types of companies in Canada and some of the largest hedge funds in New York. In addition, he was director of institutional equity sales at Canaccord Genuity Inc, among other coordinating positions.
He is the author of several books including "The Blockchain Revolution" and among the awards he was recognized with the Thinkers50 Digital Thinking Award, as part of their Distinguished Achievement Awards.
