Carl Lewis, "the son of the wind".
Carl Lewis is a former high performance athlete and lecturer. He was known by the nickname "the son of the wind" and at the age of nineteen was already a member of the U.S. Olympic track and field team.
He won 10 international medals during his career: 7 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships. In his thirties he achieved the world record in the 100 meter race at the World Championships in Tokyo. He is a motivational speaker and has participated in numerous public and private forums, invited by companies from all over the world to tell his story of success and improvement.
In addition to his awards as an athlete, he has also received recognition for his commitment and social assistance. Among other distinctions, he was named UN Goodwill Ambassador for Food and Agriculture.
