José Manuel Zapata is a tenor and lecturer. He studied singing with Toñi Rosado Casas and perfected his studies with Ana Luisa Chova at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia. He has been perfected with master classes and courses of recognized professionals of lyrical singing.
He has an extensive career as a tenor, with outstanding performances at: Metropolitan Opera House of New York, Teatro del Liceo of Barcelona, Deutsche Oper of Berlin, Semper Oper of Dresden, Massimo of Palermo, Rossini Opera Festival, Teâtre Chatelet and Champs Elysees of Paris. He shared the stage with great singers of the world such as Garança, Antonacci, Podles, Blake, Di Donato and with conductors such as Zedda, Lopez-Cobos, Spinosi, Rousset, Allemandi and Scimone.
He has also recorded several operas and albums and has written and co-directed several plays. In addition, he is an international lecturer and lectures on learning and motivation through music.
