Ciaran Martin is a teacher, consultant and executive. He studied history at Hertford College, Oxford University. He is considered a world leader among public authorities in cybersecurity.
He is a founder of the National Cyber Security Centre in the UK and led it for the first four years. He is also a professor of practice in the management of public organizations at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government and advises NATO and several private sector organizations on cybersecurity strategies.
Among the recognitions of his career, he was appointed CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by the Queen of England (2020), in addition to other international awards for his work in cybersecurity.
