Brené Brown is a teacher, author, researcher and lecturer. She received her bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas and her master's degree from the University of Houston where she also studied for a doctorate in Philosophy.
She teaches research at the University of Houston and is a visiting professor of management at the Austin McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. She is a researcher and focuses on the study of courage, vulnerability, shame and empathy. Her TED Talk, The Power of Vulnerability, is one of the top five most viewed TED Talks in the world. She is also the first researcher to have a lecture filmed on Netflix.
She is the author of five #1 "New York Times" bestsellers and hosts the original Spotify podcasts "Unlocking Us" and "Dare to Lead."
