Alastair Campbell is best known for advising UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and is a key figure in British journalism. After leaving his position as an advisor, Campbell has made speeches and worked as a fundraiser and continues to advise the Labour Party.
Alastair Campbell is a journalist, consultant, lecturer, former civil servant and author. He studied at Cambridge University and is an expert in strategic communication.
He serves on the advisory board of Portland PR and is an advisor to governments, businesses, charities, sports organizations and high-profile individuals. Among other experiences, he was spokesperson, press secretary and director of communications and strategy for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. He also has extensive journalistic experience in different media, including interviews with Bill Clinton, Peter Mandelson, Bono and Lance Armstrong. In addition, he has written multiple books, including volumes of diaries, novels, the bestseller "Winners and How They Succeed" and two personal memoirs.
Among his accolades, he received an honorary fellowship from the Royal College of Psychiatrists for his leadership role in breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness and fighting for better services, has been a visiting professor at Cambridge University and has been honored by both University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin and University College Cork for his contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process.
