Orlando Ayala

Orlando Ayala is an executive and consultant. He holds a bachelor's degree in information systems and a doctorate Honoris Causa from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Colombia.

He is a board advisor to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. He has extensive experience in the technology industry, having been part of the Microsoft and Bill Gates team for more than 20 years, becoming the company's global vice president of sales.

Throughout his career he has received international recognition, among which the following stand out: the Microsoft Global Leadership Award granted by Bill Gates (2007), the Exemplary Colombian Resident Abroad Award granted by the newspaper "El Colombiano" (2013) and the Civil Order of Alfonso X "el Sabio" decoration granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Sports (2013).
