Biography
Maricel Saenz is an executive, entrepreneur and consultant. She has a degree in Finance from the University of British Columbia in Canada and studied the Global Solutions program at Singularity University, among other specializations.
She is founder and CEO of Compound Foods, a sustainable food production company; she is co-founder and former director of Nextbiotics, a Silicon Valley startup focused on the use of synthetic biology to fight the antibiotic resistance crisis and is also a board member of the NGO Latinas in Tech. In addition, she has extensive experience as a consultant in business strategy and innovation, most notably her work at Monitor Deloitte.
She has received several awards, among them she was interviewed and distinguished by "Forbes" magazine. She is a motivating reference for the inclusion of women in the field of technology and innovation.
